Where a jury finds a defendant liable in a wrongful death action, it has absolute discretion, without regard to proof of actual damages, pecuniary loss and the like, to make any award it deems "fair and just, not exceeding ten thousand dollars," and the trial courts submission to the jury of a verdict form which embodies the directions of W.Va. Code 1931, 55-7-6, as amended, is not error.
